Product Overview
When I first saw an EZRide+, my reaction was simple: "Wait — what is this, and why haven't I heard of it before?" After 40 years as a nurse practitioner, I thought I'd come across most of what's out there in mobility equipment. I hadn't seen this.
The EZRide+ is a lightweight power-assist attachment that clips onto a compatible manual wheelchair in seconds and turns it into a motorized ride — without the cost, bulk, or commitment of a full power chair. It connects and disconnects without tools, works while you're seated, and gives you real, everyday powered mobility for errands, outdoor time, and travel, all while you keep the manual wheelchair you already have.
I think of this as one of those rare products that can be a genuine game-changer, especially for someone who relies on a manual chair and doesn't need — or want the expense of — a full power wheelchair. Take a look through the photos above for a closer look, including a real customer's before-and-after and a full ride-along video.

How It Attaches
The EZRide+ clips onto a compatible manual wheelchair's frame using a tool-free tow bar connector, and can be attached or removed while you're seated. See the attach/detach close-up and terrain photos above for a closer look at how it locks into place.
Designed for Everyday Independence
The EZRide+ provides powered assistance while allowing users to continue using their existing manual wheelchair. Its compact design, multiple speed settings, tool-free attachment, and solid tires make it suitable for everyday mobility across a variety of surfaces.
Important Compatibility Note
The EZRide+ is a power-assist attachment for compatible manual wheelchairs. Confirm that your wheelchair is compatible with the EZRide+ before purchasing, as attachment requirements may vary by wheelchair configuration.
Is EZRide+ Right for You?
These are two different physical tasks, so it's worth checking both separately — how much strength each takes is not the same.
1. Attaching it to your wheelchair (while seated): Can you hold and pull 18 pounds for 3 seconds, and push 18 pounds for 3 seconds? If so, connecting and locking the EZRide+ to your chair should be manageable on your own.
2. Loading it into a vehicle: This is a separate, heavier task — lifting the full 35 lb unit, not just locking a connector. See "Loading & Unloading" below.
Loading & Unloading From a Vehicle
We'd rather you know this upfront than be surprised by it: loading the EZRide+ into a vehicle, and unloading it, each require lifting the full 35 lb unit — about 30 pounds of that is the lift itself. If that's not something you can do on your own, having someone available to help with this step is worth planning for.
What's Included
Every EZRide+ ships with the accessory pack shown above: tow bar hardware, mounting brackets, and a hitch handle, ready to fit a compatible manual wheelchair.
